How To Make Your Professional Resume Stand Out And Land Your Dream Job

The job hunt is a stressful, crazy world.  You have to do everything possible to make your personality stand out amongst your fellow peers.  What makes you better than the other guy?  The one hiring you for the position will want to know.  The first line of defense is your resume.  If your resume does not look good or attractive, your future employer will throw it straight in the trash.

Here are some things to keep in mind when designing your resume:

1.  Use A Professional Design - There are plenty of great free resources out there but when trying to land your dream job, think of it as an investment.  Take Loft Resumes for example.  They custom tailor your resume to fit your personality based on a professional resume template they have custom designed.  Check out these sample resume templates on the Loft Resume homepage.

2.  Use A High Quality Material To Print On - Touch can also be something that can attract your potential employer.  If you use a high quality linen (or another material) for the backbone to your resume, you will find that it will survive the first round of "clean up".  This can be a make or break to you getting your dream job.

3.  Always Be Polite - Say "Please" and "Thank You" like mama always taught you.  Be sure to be polite when appropriate through out your resume.

4.  Send Your Resume Like A Fragile Gift - Send your resume in a creative way.  Have a courier hand deliver it.  Have an attractive female hand deliver and say "Thank You For Your Consideration."

Sometimes it takes thinking outside of the box when you hand your resume in to your potential dream job.  Make sure that no matter what, your resume stands out and makes an impression.
